

Jim was born in Marietta, Ohio on September 8, 1949, to the late Terence and Alberta (Crum) Hohman. Jim was a graduate of the 1968 class of Lincoln High School. He started Jim Hohman’s Lawn Service and spent 60 years working in the lawn care industry. He was married to Linda Castilluci until 1994, and together they had two sons, Jeff and Tom. On October 5, 1995, Jim married his second wife, Virginia “Ginny” Hohman, and they celebrated 29 years of marriage together. Jim loved travelling to Florida every year and he loved playing card games, but his true passion was spending time outside.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Ginny, two children: Jeffrey (Katie) and Thomas Hohman; step children: Brenda (Rich) Harlin and Michael (Jennifer) Scott; three grandchildren: Piper, Taylor, and Brandon Hohman; four step-grandchildren: Joshua Nagy, and Anna, Abbygale, and Allyson Harlin; three brothers: Don, Herman (Betty), and Vernon (Carol) Hohman; and many other extended family members.
Along with his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his ex-wife, Linda, and sister-in-law, Rita Hohman.
Per his wishes, Jim will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 2:00 pm with Reverend Gary Smith officiating. There will be calling hours at the funeral home prior to the service on Saturday from 1:00-2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Jim’s name to the donor’s choice of charity.
