Jewel retired from the Hoover Company in 2009. Preceded in death by her husband, David Brooks Mayfield and their son, Larry Brian Mayfield. Survived by son, David Brooks Mayfield, Jr. (Zhel); daughters, Freda J. Mayfield Meade (Jeffrey), Shelly R. Mayfield Tumlinson (Ron), and son, Tony GT Mayfield (Cindy); several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and pet dogs, Suzie and Smoky.
A visitation will be held on December 20, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, located at 5000 Everhard Road NW, Canton, OH 44718. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
