John Cavalier

John Cavalier, age 89, of North Canton, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012. He was born April 3, 1922 in Middlebranch, Ohio to the late Marco and Prospera (Guarnieri) Cavalier.

John was a US Army veteran of WWII serving with the 9th Armored Division Infantry in Europe. He retired from Diamond Portland Cement and North Canton City Schools and coached Little League Baseball and Midget Football.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Cavalier; and sons, Mark and David Cavalier. He is survived by his son, Dennis (Christine) Cavalier; daughter, Cheryl Allaire; grandsons, Evan Cavalier and Marc Cavalier; great granddaughters, Paige and Gianna Cavalier; brother, Joe Cavalier; sister, Louise Fernandez; nieces, Jennice (Gary) Welker, Beth (Jeff) Metzger, Janet Hess LaMonica, Nancy Hess Bishop; and nephews, Joe (Tina) Cavalier, Jr., Jim Fernandez, and Bob Hess.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home with Mr. Jeff Metzger officiating. Interment in North Canton Cemetery. Friends may call 4-7pm Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
