She was born November 3, 1927 in Canton to the late Frank and Emma (Lemon) Ridgway. Kate devoted her life to her family. She crocheted afghans, and embroidered quilts for each grandchild and great-grandchild. Kate loved taking vacations with her sisters (the Golden Girls), and enjoyed baking pies and making homemade noodles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Angelo; infant daughter, Lois; and twelve brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Ron) Karlo, Loretta (Skip) Angus, Cheryl (Steve) Peroz, and Darlene (Jim) Kress; thirteen grandchildren, Sean, Scott (Colleen), Sam (Joy), Heath, Aaron (Tammy), Amber (Katie), Elisha (Gino), Ryan, Michael, Jennifer (Brandon), Lisa (Jonathan), Joe, and David; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday at Zion United Church of Christ, 415 South Main Street, North Canton. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8pm in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Masks are required; social distancing will be practiced; and gathering limits will be enforced. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice. The family would like to thank their cousin, Cinda Howell, for all of her help and loving care that she gave to her Aunt Kate. Thanks also to St. Joseph Skilled Nursing, and Crossroads Hospice for all of their care, compassion, and kindness.
