Kenneth R. Emerick

He was born March 19, 1925 in Summitville, Ohio to the late Ernest and Laura (Scott) Emerick. Kenneth was a US Air Force veteran of WWII. He retired from the Hoover Company, was a 60 year member of both Paradise United Church of Christ in Louisville, and the Lisbon Masonic Lodge.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Wilmer, Everett, Clair, John, and Donald. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Hattie (Rutecki) Emerick; sons, Wayne (Wanda) Emerick, and Barry (Wendy) Emerick; daughters, Janice Emerick, Barbara Bowser, and Sharon (Jan) Walther; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday at Paradise United Church of Christ, 619 East Main Street, Louisville, with Rev. Ken Locke and Rev. Tom Allmon officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 10-11am at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, PO Box 515, Northampton, MA 01061-0515, or to the ALS Association, PO Box 6051, Albert Lea, MN 56007.
