

He was born August 13, 1947 in Elkhart, Indiana to the late Charles and Theda (Showalter) Symensma. Kenneth was a graduate of New Paris High School and attended Purdue University. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge. Kenneth enjoyed running, traveling all states and countries, cruises, volleyball, softball, Hoover leagues, gambling, and stocks. He was involved in Scouting for many years.
Kenneth was raised on a dairy farm in New Paris, IN and aspired to be far away from farming, moving to Ohio in 1969. He was employed at the Hoover Company as an engineer for 49 years working from the main plant, in Glen Willow for several years, and retired after moving to North Carolina for one year.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Joy Heather. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 54 years on 7-17-2025, Donna; son, Taylor A. Symensma; sister, Gloria Ackerson of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Kenneth will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Rd NW, Canton, Ohio 44718, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
The family would like to thank the kind and loving care of Jasmine, Angel, Mia, and Lori at the Sanctuary Grande. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tree of Life Stark Wilderness Center in Mount Eaton, or St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
