Ken was born in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania on January 11, 1948 to the late Jacob and Helena (Martin) Witalis. Ken graduated from Brooklyn High School in Brooklyn, Ohio and went on to attend college at Cleveland State University. Work was very important to Ken. During school, Ken worked at his uncle’s gas station. After college, he worked in a chemistry lab for about 20 years, then as a truck driver for almost 10 years, and finally cleaned for Serve Pro for a few years before his retirement. On July 4, 1976, Ken married his wife of 44 years, Jean (Shank) Witalis. They attended The Chapel in Green together.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Jean, his son, Kenneth M. Witalis, and many extended family members.
Along with his parents, Ken is preceded in death by his sister, Marie Alena Witalis.
A graveside service for Ken will be held at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dale Saylor officiating.
