He was born July 21, 1947 in West Virginia to the late Edna May (Lauderman) and Charles William Angus. Lanny was a veteran of the US Navy, and retired from The Hoover Company with 37 years service. He held membership in the McKinley Eagles Lodge 2370 where he was known for his poker skills.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Clifford Patterson; and infant granddaughters, Jessica, Sydney, and Hannah. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mary; sons, Lanny "Chip" (Justina) Angus and their children, Ryan and Kara, Brandon (Donna) Angus and their children, Gianna and Christina; brother, Floyd "Skip" (Loretta) Angus; and several nieces and nephews.
A private burial will be held at the Foxfield Preserve in Wilmot, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Akron Children's Hospital Cancer Fund.
