Larry Lee Hart

Above all else, Larry was most proud of his family. He was a devoted husband, dad, loving grandpa, and a cherished Poppop. His greatest joy came from watching his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren grow, and the love he had for them was evident in everything he did.

Larry was also a loyal friend to many. If something needed to be fixed, or if you needed advice about your car, your home, or just life in general, Larry was the person everyone turned to. He was always willing to lend a hand, and happiest when he could help someone else.

Meeting and marrying Patricia, the love of his life, at a young age was one of the greatest blessings he ever received. Together, they built a life rooted in love and perseverance. They weathered life’s hardships side by side. Through both the struggles and the triumphs, their deep love carried them forward. They showed their children, grandchildren, and everyone who knew them that a successful marriage isn’t built on having everything, but on making the best of what you have. For Larry and Patricia, quitting was never an option.

Throughout his life, Larry remained deeply grateful to the many people who took him under their wing, teaching him valuable trades, sharing life’s lessons, and introducing him to God. Their kindness helped shape the man he became, and he never forgot the impact they had on his life.

Larry worked many different jobs throughout his life, including home building, serving as a crewman, moving furniture, and working in a food warehouse. No matter the job, he took pride in working hard and always gave his best effort.

His favorite pastime, however, was buying wrecked cars and restoring them. He had a remarkable talent for bringing damaged vehicles back to life, transforming them into cars that looked and ran like new before selling them. It was more than a hobby—it was something he truly enjoyed and took great pride in.

As a child and young adult, Larry was quiet and shy. Those who knew him later in life would hardly believe it. He loved talking with people, sharing stories, discussing cars and history, and offering his endless knowledge of how to fix just about anything. His wisdom and willingness to teach left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Larry will be remembered for his strength, resilience, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the lessons he shared, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Larry is survived by his wife, Patricia, his three children: Terry (Patty) Hart, Larry (Lori) Hart, Jr., and Julie (Don) Haines; many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, and his sister, Janice Pickett of Indiana.

Calling hours for Larry will be held at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 pm and Thursday, August 6th from 10:00-11:00 am. Funeral services for Larry will begin at the funeral home at 11:00 am on Thursday with burial to follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
