Leto M. Lesh

Leto M. Lesh, age 97, of North Canton, died Friday evening, November 16, 2012 at Heather Ridge. She was born December 9, 1914 in Cairo, Ohio to the late John and Mary (Suffecool) Harter.

Leto was a life resident of North Canton. She retired in 1981 from Jackson High School Cafeteria. She was a member of McDonaldsville St. Paul United Methodist Church; an honorary member and past president of Willowdale Lake Women’s Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1975; sisters, Blanche Travis, Laura Werstler, and Hazel Wagner; and brother, Clarence Harter. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Wally) Anders of North Canton; grandchildren, Michelle (Chad) Lambert, Doug Estes, and Dan (Kim) Estes; great grandchildren, Erik, Emily, Elly, Adelaide, and Hannah; and sister, Naomi Moore.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home with Pastor Eldon Smith officiating. Interment in St. Jacob’s Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8pm on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of cut flowers, live plants are preferred as a living memorial to Leto.

Leto was such a special lady. Always friendly,cheerful, and helpful. She will be missed very much. We remember the big surprise on her face at her 90th birthday party at McDonaldsville church. She was so happily surprised.
