
Lois Jean Blake White, age 85, passed away at Carroll Golden Age Retreat on November 20, 2014. She was born in Akron, Ohio on November 28, 1928 to Elmer and Iva Blake. Lois was a member of North Suburban Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, puzzles, sewing, crocheting, and loved animals.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Paul White; her parents; brother, Garrett Earle Blake; and two great-grandchildren. Lois is survived by her children, Larry White, Cathy (John) Barnett, Paula (Ted) Brown, Jenny Stertzbach, and Jimmy “Turtle” White; grandchildren, Ted (Mary) Brown, Jeremiah Brown, Lois Brown, Rachel (Bill) Hampton, Bethany (Marcus) Drysdale, Kevin (Aron) Barnett, Andy (Alice) Stertzbach, Brian (Crystal) Stertzbach, Justin White, and Nathan White; eight great-grandsons; five great-granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may call from 10-11 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2014 at the chapel in Greenlawn Cemetery, 2580 Romig Rd. Akron, Ohio. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with burial to follow in the cemetery.
