

He was born in Massillon on March 18, 1933 to the late William and Freda (Kent) Geis. Lowell was a lifelong resident of Massillon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Massillon, and the Massillon Masonic Lodge. He retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company after 40 years of service. Lowell had a passion for both still and video photography. He enjoyed watching car racing; and was a football fan of the Massillon Tigers and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara H. (Nafus) Geis; and sister, Carol (Geis) Layfield. He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Daniel) Snedeker of Massillon; sons, Robert Geis of Canton, and Larry Geis of Massillon; and grandchildren, Lauren and Brandon Snedeker.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Monday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Sunday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
