Lula M. Ward

Lula M. Ward, age 74, passed away on April 17, 2013 in Canton. She was born on September 6, 1938 in Montgomery, AL to Taylor and Mary Johnson. Lula was a member of True Church House of Prayer to All Nations in Massillon. She enjoyed praising the Lord at church, sewing, playing board games and taking care of children and seniors both for work and personal life.

She is preceded in death by her parents and three sons, Horace III, Christopher and Ralph Ward. Lula is survived by her husband, Horace Ward II; children, Rick Ward, John (Debbie) Ward, Karla (Henry) Thompson, Gina Ward, Eric (Tanya) Ward, Teresa (Ron) Metcalf and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; sisters, Ethel Gardner, Diane Johnson, Denise Richardson, Mary Johnson, Tammy Super, and brother, George Johnson.

A home going service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013 at True Church House of Prayer to All Nations at 1841 Tremont St SE, Massillon, OH 44646. Friends may call at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the church. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Donations and flowers may be sent to the church.
