Marion Joan Sumser

Marion J. Sumser, age 85, loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, and special friend to many, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at Mercy Hospital after a short illness.

Born in Canton, Ohio, she is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bob; children, Joan Glew, Bill Sumser, Dan (Michele) Sumser, Kelly (John) Henkel, MaryKay (Darin) Baad, Andrea Haueter; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and brother, Tom Diuk. She is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Freda Diuk; her in-laws, Paul and Marguerite Sumser; sister, Helen Diuk; brothers, Paul, Ed, and Karl Diuk.

Marion was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, and enjoyed working in the North Canton Public Library Juvenile Department for 13 years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 241 South Main Street, North Canton. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church, North Canton, or the North Canton Public Library. Arrangements under the direction of Karlo-Libby Funeral Home.
