Mark G. Hannan 1948-2017, age 69, born in Chester, PA, slipped peacefully from this earth and began his eternal calling in Heaven on December 3rd. He was a husband, a father, a best friend, a biggest fan, a mentor, a teacher, a warrior, a hero, an encourager, a comedian, a servant, a leader, a Papa, the ideal example, and so much more to those that knew him. Never has a man walked this earth with more love, more compassion, and more kindness. He was a devoted husband for 47 years, a father to 6 children, and a foster father to 37. A Bronze Star recipient for his Vietnam War service, Mark served his country as an Army Ranger in the 101st Airborne, and continued to serve his fellow man daily once he returned. He was an artist, a speaker, an entrepreneur, and an avid golfer. He never met a stranger and always found ways to bless others. Mark lived his life to the fullest, making the most of every moment with the time he had on this earth, investing in the lives of all those he came into contact with. He fought the good fight, and finished his race, leaving behind his legacy for so many he impacted. He will be missed more than mere words can express.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Paula Hannan; son David Hannan. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Deborah Hannan; daughter Stacy Debord (Chris) and their 4 children; Nikki West (Jason) and their 5 children; Drew Hannan (Heather) and their 3 children; Christian Hannan and his 2 children; Tessa Hannan (Rob Hartshorn); siblings Gail Jurgens, Gwen Gerber (Riley), Kimm Hannan, and Rita Sigler (Bruce), as well as many loving nieces and nephews and extended family members.
