Born Oct. 16, 1969, Mike was the son of Wilma (Jackson) and David Hohler. He graduated from GlenOak High School in 1988 and attended Bowling Green State University, studying hospitality management.
Mike began working for Grinders Above and Beyond restaurants in the early 1990s and went on to manage the North Canton, Dover and Canton locations. He was loved by staff for his work ethic and sense of humor. He cared deeply about his work family.
His greatest pride was his son Matthew, whom he raised primarily as a single parent. Times were not always easy, but hard work and determination made them a strong team. His other prides were his 2016 Ford Mustang and restoring his dad's 1966 Mustang with his brother-in-law Mark Seifreit. He loved to grill, complete home improvement projects and play with their dogs, Zeus and Apollo.
Mike is survived by Matthew; his parents; sister and brother-in-law Deanna and John Bottar of Madison; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jaclyn and Mark Seifreit of Canton; nieces and nephews: Abigail, Elizabeth and Owen Bottar, and Brandon, Chloe and Sam Seifreit; plus several aunts, uncles and beloved cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.karlofh.com for the Hohler family.
