Mildred M. M Schneider

Mildred M. Schneider, age 92, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011, at Hanover House, where she resided for the past 2 years. Mildred was born the only child of the late Herman H. and Anna (Storhl) Fisher and lived her entire life in Massillon. She graduated from Washington High School, where she met her first husband Robert Waltz, and with whom she had 3 children. After the death of Robert in 1966, she married Robert Schneider, with whom she had a 42-year marriage until his death in 2009. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Millie worked for years part-time at the J C Penney Co. in both Canton and Massillon. Throughout her life she enjoyed baking, sewing, reading and card-playing with friends and family. She was a loyal member of Faith Community Fellowship and maintained a deep faith in Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by Robert A. Waltz; stepfather, William Nelson; son, Ronald Waltz; and Robert J. Schneider. She is survived by son, Kenneth R. Waltz (Nancy); daughter, Laura Adante (David); grandson, Matthew K. Waltz (Megan); granddaughter, Amanda E. Waltz; great-grandson, Parker K. Waltz.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 11 A.M. at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels of Stark and Wayne, 2363 Nave St. SE, Massillon, OH 44646, or Faith Community Fellowship Building Fund, 1303 9th St. SW, Massillon, OH 44646. The family of Millie would like to extend a sincere appreciation for the loving and professional care she received from the staff at Hanover House.
