To the family of Milly Michael,

We wish to extend our deepest sympathy on the loss of your wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. We had the extreme privilege of being the Michaels' neighbors for over 35 years. I have so many wonderful memories of Milly. She was so beautiful...she couldn't talk without smiling. She was so compassionate...she always showed genuine concern for everyone in the family. She was so complimentary...she found something positive to say about everyone. She was so witty...she had a way of talking that usually turned into a humorous story. She was so energetic...she took brisk walks around the neighborhood that would rival a 30 year old. She was so generous...she always had treats and goodies for the kids and delicious leftovers for us big kids. She was so modest...she never felt the need to boast about anything-except her grandchildren! She was so classy...she was the only woman I knew who mowed the lawn looking like she was dressed to go out for the evening! I guess you could say that Milly was one of those rare people who made you feel good just to be in her presence. We were so very lucky to live next to her, and we will never forget her!

Dear Doug,

I am sending this to you, but without saying, to each member of your family. People come and go in your life but few become part of you, your mother was one of those people. She was beautiful from the inside out and I will never forget the twinkle in her eye, her stories and her humanness.  Most of all I will remember her kindness. My grandchildren, although they never met her, know who she was, as stories are passed on. They, in turn, will pass those stories on to their children. I am grateful I met her and I will never hear the word "Lady" without thinking of your mother.  Arden and I hope that you and your family get through this hard time knowing that she will continue to live on in so many other people's hearts. Millie was the epitome of a warm, classy lady. I'm sure the many good memories will help soften her passing and have been passed down to the next generations of Michaels. I remember her fondly and often think of the many dinners we shared at Topp's Chalet. Al, you and Millie always had a special place in my mother and fathers' heart.
