A 1967 graduate of Lincoln High School, Neal continued his education at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. He dedicated 48 years to serving the community as the owner of Tate Cleaners, where he built lasting relationships with customers and friends alike.
Neal was a devoted member of Cross Pointe Church, formerly Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church. His faith was an important part of his life, and he faithfully supported the church and its ministries.
Above all, Neal cherished his family. He loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, and took great joy in attending their sporting events and celebrating their accomplishments. Known for his warm personality and genuine interest in others, Neal had a remarkable ability to strike up a conversation with anyone he met, leaving a lasting impression through his kindness and friendliness.
On August 15, 1970, Neal married the love of his life, Barbara "Nell" (King) Snodgrass, who survives him. He is also survived by his sons, Eric (Kimberly) Snodgrass and Mike (Christine) Snodgrass; his beloved grandchildren, Bryce, Grace, Lucy, and Jude; and his sisters, Nancy (Chuck) Riley and Laura (John) Wiese.
Family and friends will be received at Cross Pointe Church, 711 25th St. NW, Canton, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., and again on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Brad Myers. The service will be live streamed on the church's social media platforms for those unable to attend in person (Facebook & YouTube). A private family burial will follow.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Seidman Cancer Center and University Hospital in Cleveland for their exceptional care, compassion, and support.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cross Pointe Church Children's Ministries in Neal's memory.
