Patricia C. Quick

Pat was born on June 27, 1952 to Lewis and Beulah Carr in Sidney, Ohio where she graduated from Sidney High School in 1970. Pat went on to study at The Ohio State University and earned her BA in History and MA in Public Administration. She later obtained her licensure as a CPA through the University of Pittsburgh.

After a prestigious and prolific career in a multitude of fields, she retired from the Stark Community Foundation in 2017 where she had served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for 25 years. However, she maintained her commitment to the community and served as chairwoman of the board for Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health, board member of Stark Parks and Stark State Foundation, as well as a volunteer consultant with SCORE. Despite her dedication to these organizations, she did eventually step down from the roles. The progression of her Parkinson’s disease led her to redirect her focus and drive on matters related to her wellbeing.

A true lover of the arts, Pat was heavily involved in the development of local events, scholarships, and programs that strive to keep art and music at the forefront of our community today.

She is survived by her devoted and beloved husband, Ronald Quick, to whom she has been married for 45 wonderful years. Together, they share three children, Megan Smith (Lee), Michael Quick (Samantha), and Kathleen Cernava (Justin); six grandchildren, Laelah, Kennedy, Riley, Charlotte, Violet, and Lincoln. Pat was truly the world’s best grandmother. She was nurturing, fun, and curious in all the ways that demonstrate how to love unconditionally.

Pat is also survived by her four siblings; sisters, Carol Iddings, Janet Koske, Darlene Knipe; and brother, Christopher Carr.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Road NW, Canton, Ohio. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00PM at the funeral home.

You may, in lieu of flowers, make a donation in her name to Stark Parks, as the mission of the organization was near and dear to her heart. Pat and her husband, Ron, treasured their daily walks on the trails near their family home.
