Perry David Bennett

Perry D. Bennett 1946-2017 age 70, of North Canton passed away Thursday evening, February 2, 2017 at Mercy Hospital as a result of pancreatic cancer. He was born May 3, 1946 to the late Perry C. and Helen (Wickwire) Bennett. Perry was a former deputy sheriff and detective for Boone County, Ill. He had a passion for cooking and the Massillon Tigers, and enjoyed target shooting and rescuing dogs and cats. Perry will be remembered for his gift of bringing people together.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Linda (Guenther) Bennett; son, Perry J. (Sigrid) Bennett; sister, Gayle Soderburg; special friends, Bobby and Marianne Cale; and his dogs, Katie and Bella.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Little Flower Catholic Church. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice, 4369 Whipple Avenue NW, Canton, OH 44718.
