Bob was a graduate of Washington High School, in Massillon, Ohio, class of 1966, where he long held the record in the 100-yard dash.
Bob joined the U.S. Army after high school, serving in Germany. Shortly after returning to the U.S., Bob started his successful career in insurance which took him across the US and around the world. He was widely recognized as a top insurance salesman and quickly climbed the corporate ladder. Bob was an endearing leader who brought out the best in those around him. He cherished his time overseas, living for many years in Indonesia where he was the President and Chairman of the Board of AIA Lippo and later the CEO of Siloam Hospital Group in Bali.
When not at work, Bob sought ways to connect with his children. He spent many hours telling his kids they had, “5 more minutes” in the pool and taking them boating on many lakes around the Midwest. Bob sought out real-estate investments and took great pride in bringing out the best features of his properties.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Bush and Florence Bush-Irvine. He is survived by his wife, Luci Asbon Bush; children, Bobbi Rintoul, Colleen Waltz, Branden Bush, Keisha Bush and Blake Bush; former wife, Linda Bush; sister and brother, Jennie Lambert and Raymond Bush; four grandchildren, Gavin Waltz, Camryn Rintoul, Rilyn Rintoul, and Payton Waltz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
