Robert P. McDowell

Robert P. McDowell, age 84, of Canton, died Sunday, August 15, 2010. He was born April 27, 1926 to the late Edwin & Imo (Wertz) McDowell in Cumberland, Maryland. Robert was the owner/operator of the parking lot on 2nd & Walnut Ave. for over 40 years and was a member of Westminister Community Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia McDowell in 1999. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joanne (Steiner) McDowell; daughter, Susan McDowell and her husband Robert Wenger of Ambler, PA.

Funeral services will be held 11am, Thursday, August 19th at Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Road N.W., Canton. Rev. William Pawson officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior (10am-11am) to the service at the funeral home. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Westminister Community Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice. The family wishes to thank their many friends for their love and to the staff of Hanover House for their care & compassion during Bob’s stay.
