Robert was born on a farm in Harrisville, Ohio. He spent his first eight years of school in a one-room schoolhouse. An Air Force veteran, Robert spent the majority of his service in Alaska prior to Alaska becoming a state, which initiated his love of the outdoors. He worked for the Ford Motor Company in Canton as a die repairman until its closing in 1986. After retiring, he dedicated his time to his church and worked part-time at True Value Hardware.
Bob was a devoted husband to Jacklyn Soos and a wonderful father to her four children, and his and Jackie's son. His interests included woodworking, building Shaker style furniture, award-winning wood carving, and other community projects. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and camping.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Jacklyn (Hays) Soos; brothers, Jack, Charles, and Will Soos. He is survived by his sisters, Till (Ron) Sliva and Marge (Charlie) Werner. He is also survived by his children, John (Cindy) Seaburn, Jeff Seaburn, Joni Seaburn, Jim (Darlene) Seaburn, and Patrick (Cynthia) Soos; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Simpson United Methodist Church, 4900 Middlebranch Ave NE, Canton, OH 44705, on December 17, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 pm at the church.
