Ruth J Van Dusen

She worked for Mentor Public Schools and was retired from Plain Local Schools where she had worked as a cook. Mrs. Van Dusen was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, North Canton and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, cooking and gardening.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, US Army 1st Sgt. Clifton Van Dusen in 1995; and sister, Marion Westlake. She is survived by her son, Thomas Van Dusen; grandchildren, Capt. Graham Van Dusen, USMC of Wilmington, NC, and Caitlin Van Dusen of San Francisco, CA; brother, Jim Turney of Gallatin, TN; and nieces and nephews, Linda Keatly, and Jim, Laurie, and Brian Turney.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, December 17, 2012 in the mausoleum chapel at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens, 7920 Frank Ave. NW, North Canton, with Rev. Fr. Stephen Zeigler officiating. Interment will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or a hospice of the donor's choice.
