She was born on February 2nd, 1949 to the late Mary Jane and Herman Charles Long.
She enjoyed flower gardening, reading, and watching the neighbor’s farm animals. She retired from Mercy Hospital as a housekeeper after 28 years of service. She was also the treasurer of Bethel Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 56 years, Chuck Shahan and grandchildren; Michael Shahan, Shyann (Shahan) Smith, and Dustin Smith; numerous family members, Amy Barker, Stephanie Barker, Larry Bianchi, Tom Shahan, Pam Shahan, Mark Ayers, Jack Ayers, Phyllis Ferguson, Terry Zerby, and Rita Cice; pets, Ripley the Bull Dog, cats: Boots, George and Blackie. She loved her pets very much. Calling hours will take place at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and a funeral at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 28th, 2023.
