Shirley was born in Canton, on February 10, 1933 to the late Earl and Margaret (Fach) Hunter. She is survived by her two daughters, Kristine Freday and Karen (Jim) Brown, five grandchildren: Dana (Bobby) Nash, Michael (Stephanie) Yoder, Adam (Tracy) Yoder, Nicole (Chris) McGinnis, and Nathan (Noelle) Schkurko; eight great-grandchildren: AJ (Alyssa) Williams, Kassidy and Robert Nash, Evan and Tyler Yoder, and Jack, Margaret, and Alexander McGinnis; two great-great-grandchildren: Lilly and Sage Williams; five siblings: Donna Valasek, Betty Bartholomew, Barbara Baker, Jack (Carolyn) Hunter, and Jerry (Sandy) Hunter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, William Miller, son, Scott Miller, son-in-law, R. Scott Freday, and six sisters: Carolyn, Hazel, Joann, Vivian, Grace "Penny", and Linda.
Calling hours for Shirley will take place at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Amy Downard officiating. A private burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
