Tanya Rachelle Parr

Tanya was born on May 21, 1963, in Newfoundland, Canada to the late James David and Barbara May (Soper) Wilfong. She was a graduate of the 1981 class of Jackson High School. She was most proud of her work as a bus driver for Jackson Local Schools, which she did for several years. Tanya was also very proud of her service in the United States Air Force. She was a lifetime member of Village Baptist Temple in North Canton. Tanya enjoyed spending her free time listening to her favorite radio stations, going to the movies, and being surrounded by family and friends. She was an outgoing, social person who would do anything for anyone. She was well known for being very family-oriented, devoutly religious, and kind to all those around her.

Tanya is survived by her son, Matt (Jamie) Parr, 3 brothers: James David (Catessa) Wilfong, Jr., Jody (Dee Bell) Wilfong, and Jeffrey (Tina) Wilfong; and five nieces: Nikki, Gianna, Angel, Melissa, and Elizabeth.

Per her family’s wishes, Tanya will be cremated, and a Memorial Service will be held at Village Baptist Temple in North Canton at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, with Dr. Phil Clayton officiating. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at St. George Serbian Center in North Canton at 6:00 pm later that evening.
