Theresa M. Umlauf

Theresa M. Umlauf, 87, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at her residence in the Gables of Canton. She was the daughter of Martha and Edgar Moore and was born in Paris, Ohio. Theresa was raised in Freeburg, Ohio, and was a graduate of Louisville High School. She had been a resident of Florida for the past 36 years.

Theresa enjoyed her secretarial positions at Eynon & Gunthrie, Mount Union College, and G.E. Credit and later retired from Kushner & Kushner in Fort Myers, Florida.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Winfield; her daughter, Vickie (Mike); her stepdaughter, Peggy (Ken); her stepson, Mike (Patty); and two step-granddaughters, Leal and Lauren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Yolanda Moore, as well as a niece, a nephew, an aunt, and an uncle. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James Moore.

The apples of her eye were Peyton and Preston, the grandsons she never had. She took excellent care of them from the day they were born. Additionally, she loved volunteering at St. Fancies Catholic School in Fort Myers.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to her friends Jan, George, Paula, Erik, Judi, and many others in Florida.

Furthermore, they wish to express their gratitude to all the staff at The Gables of Canton and Elara Caring Hospice for their care and support.
