He graduated from Timken High School in 1952. Tony was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a lifelong member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Tony was an avid golfer and bowler. He loved the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Tony is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ora Belle (Wise) Betscakos with whom he was together for 76 years; son, George (Natalie) Betscakos; daughter, Ann Marie (Matthew) O'Brien; five grandchildren, Antonio, Maximus, Joaquin, Solana, Danielle; one great granddaughter, Aurelie; and nieces, Cheryl Ann Smith and Vickie Wrick; and nephew, Spiro Poulos.
Calling hours for Tony will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4705 Fairhaven Ave NW, Canton, OH 44709. Funeral services for Tony will begin at the church at 11:00 am on Saturday, burial to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
