

William C. Schiltz age 69, passed away on March 1, 2010. He was born Jan. 4, 1941 in Canton, Ohio to William Austin and Mary Louise (Streb) Schiltz. Bill was the first baby born that year in North Canton and remained a life-long resident. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Susan Canino.
Bill will be lovingly remembered and is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Ann (Memmer) Schiltz; sons and daughter, Mark William (Elizabeth) Schiltz, Michael Edward (Heather) Schiltz, Julie Ann (Henry S. V) Belden; and his brothers and sisters, Thomas (Carol) Schiltz, Marilyn (Tom) Cinson, Joanne Fox, Maryjane (Mark) Thomson, and James (Kathy) Schiltz; as well as many nieces and nephews, his mother-in-law, Eleanor Memmer; and brothers-in-law, Harold (Bud) Memmer and Robert (Debbie) Memmer. Grandchildren include Henry S. Belden VI, Emma Belden, Eleanor Schiltz, Benjamin Belden, William D. Schiltz, Caroline Schiltz and Maggie Schiltz.
Bill was a lifelong member of Saint Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton, Ohio. He attended Canton Central Catholic for two years, then graduated from Hoover High School, and later received a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Malone College. Bill was also a member of Saint Leo's Catholic Church in Bonita Springs, Fla.
Bill was a founder and Chief Executive Officer of Liquid Control Corporation, where he thoroughly enjoyed spending his time and building the business to support his family and many others he worked with there. He was a successful entrepreneur employed in the designing, building and selling of resin dispensing machines. Bill was also an inventor and holds several patents. He retired and sold the business in 2005.
In addition to his family and work life, Bill was passionate about cars, travel and golf, and was especially thrilled when he could combine all three. He was a member of Gull Wing Group International, Brookside Country Club (Canton, Ohio), and The Colony (Bonita Springs, Fla.). Bill also felt and acted strongly about his responsibility to community and was actively involved in many civic, philanthropic and work-related organizations.
The Schiltz family expresses its sincere appreciation to Aultman Hospital and The Cleveland Clinic for their professional care and kind attention. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Paul's School in North Canton, Ohio.
Calling hours are Thursday, March 4, 2010, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Karlo & Sons Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Road NW, Canton. A memorial mass at Saint Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton will be on Friday, March 5, 2010, at 11 a.m. The family will be receiving friends at the church, one hour prior to mass.
