

Born June 26, 1946 in a farmhouse in East Rochester, Ohio, Wilma was the daughter of the late Edward and Eva (Rutledge) Jackson.
After she graduated from Augusta High School in 1964, she sold her cow, packed her typewriter and moved to Canton. There she lived with her sister Mary Jackson in an apartment above a garage and took the bus to Raedel Secretarial School.
She worked for NCR Corp. in Canton where she met David Hohler whom she married Nov. 5, 1966. They had two children. She retired in 2006 from Plain Local Schools where she worked at central office and Warstler Elementary.
In 1998, Wilma and Dave opened the Grinders Above and Beyond restaurant in Dover, which their son Michael managed until they sold it in 2015. They also enjoyed their cottage on Lake Erie for many years.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Deanna and John Bottar and grandchildren, Abigail Bottar (Thomas Haught), Elizabeth Bottar, Owen Bottar and Matthew Hohler; brother, Jim (Lesley) Jackson; sister, Martha Long; brother-in-law, Gerry (Joey) Hohler; and sister-in-law Debbie (Martin) Teetzel; plus many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, husband, parents, sister Mary Jackson, brother John Jackson, sister- and brother-in-law Carol and Bob Lesh, brothers-in-law Harold Hohler Jr. and Richard Hohler, and nieces Jennifer and Jessica Hohler.
Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
