Arthur W. Wilson

Arthur passed away peacefully on March 25, 2022 in Rockwall, Texas. He was born in Richmond, California to Jesse Wilson and Ermelinda Gomes.

Arthur grew up in Oakland/Fremont, California area. Later, he met the love of his life, Ann Patterson when she and her parents moved into a house across the street from him in California. The couple married on December 17, 1952 and had 57 beautiful years together at her passing. Arthur was a member of Grace Family Church. He was a collector of magazines and newspapers. Arthur enjoyed listening to Big Band music, older country and western music and hearing the bagpipes played. Arthur’s greatest joy was time spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he was so very proud of. This big-hearted man will live on in the memories of all that knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Ermelinda; beloved wife, Ann Wilson; and his six siblings.

Arthur is survived by his children: Rebecca and Bob Stiefer, Rhonda and Michael Mensendick, Regina Wilson, Randy and Darla Wilson; 12 grandchildren: Bobby Stiefer, II, Brandon Stiefer, Bethany Weisser, Erica Nichols, Erin Coonrod, Elisha Alexander, Randall Wilson, Rusty Wilson, Brittany Johnson, Ryan Wilson, Kandise Gill and Reese Wilson; 24 great-grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas.
