Services for Bernece Smith, 90, of Canton are scheduled for 10 am Friday, April 3, 2015, at the Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, with Bro. James Massey and Bro. David Fretwell officiating. Burial will be in the Tarver Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith passed away, Tuesday, March 31, 2015, in Canton. She was born August 9, 1924 in Whitton to Luther Benjamin and Gladys Effie Emerson Plaster.
Bernece was a member of the Whitton Church of Christ and a life-long resident of Whitton. She loved homemaking, quilting and flowers.
Bernece is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Loyd Plaster.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her two sons and their wives: James A. and Jackie Smith of Grand Saline and Robbie and Lana Smith of Frankston; daughter and her husband, Debra and Thomas James of Canton; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother and his wife, James and Sadie Plaster of Canton; sister, Barbara Estes of Canton; brother and his wife, Sonny and Sandra Plaster of Canton; sister, Gale Bennett of Canton; and sister-in-law, Emma Jean Plaster of Canton.
Pallbearers will be Gary Plaster, Wade Smith, Keith Plaster, Ben Plaster, Noland Dover and Danny Randall.
