

Services for Betty Juanita Furrh, 85, of Mesquite, will be held 1:30 pm Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with John Samuel Byers and Dr. Chris Liebrum officiating. Interment will be in Haven of Memories.
Betty passed away July 3, 2021 in Dallas. She was born May 22, 1936 in Wills Point, TX to Henry Benjamin and Ada Elizabeth Cooper Cockerham.
Betty grew up in the Wills Point area. After graduating from Wills Point High School she worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone in Dallas. On April 20, 1957, she married Ted Furrh and became a homemaker. Betty was a member of Town East Baptist Church where she had many wonderful friends. She loved her grandchildren, who were the highlight of her life. She also loved politics and watching the news.
Betty is preceded in death by her two sons: Brady and Timmy Furrh; parents, Henry Benjamin and Ada Elizabeth Cockerham; and eight brothers and sisters.
Betty is survived by her husband, Ted Furrh; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Cary Liebrum; four grandchildren: Hayden Liebrum and fiancé, Melissa Holt, Carlie Liebrum, Justin Furrh and Crystal Rogers; and sister, Helen Neill.
Pallbearers will be Justin Brady Furrh, Hayden Benjamin Liebrum, Rusty Cockerham, Kirt Cockerham, Chris Cockerham, Joey Cockerham, Jeryl Cockerham, Michael Cockerham, James Cockerham, Rudy Morrison, Michael Henry Morrison, Phillip Doone, Doyle William Young, and Yancy Young. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
