Services for Betty Ruth Phillips, 82, of Canton, are scheduled for 10 am Thursday, November 14, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Canton with Dr. Mike Roberson officiating. Interment will be in Haven of Memories.
Mrs. Phillips passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019, in Tyler. She was born October 17, 1937 in Plano to Dennis Fleet and Lucinda Morton Moseley.
Betty grew up in Carrollton and Lewisville and married David in 1957. She trusted in the Lord at an early age and loved going to church. Music was very important to her. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing in the church choir. She imparted her love of music to her sons. Betty was always willing to serve and help others. Betty enjoyed playing cards, dominoes and spending time with her family. Betty and David lived in Coppell for many years before moving to Canton in 2004. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Canton.
Mrs. Phillips is preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Lucinda Moseley; and a brother, Billy Moseley.
Betty is survived by her husband of 62 years, David Phillips of Canton; sons and their wives: Clay and Terry Phillips of Coppell and Don and Kym Phillips of Canton; four grandchildren: Paige Hopkins, David Phillips, II, and wife, Carolyn, Dr. Kyle Phillips and wife, Taylor, and Jessica Lynch and husband, J.T.; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Denny Moseley.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Wednesday at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.
