

Billy is survived by daughter Beckey Badgett; daughter and son-in-law Jessica and Dee Davis; grandson and wife Elliott and Anna Davis; grandson, wife and great grandson Austin, Abigail and Logan Davis.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Janace Ellen Witherspoon, and son, Richard O. Badgett. He was born March 8, 1935 in Dallas, TX, to Thomas Ozelle Badgett and Margaret Burl Godwin.
Billy grew up in Mesquite, TX and graduated from Mesquite High School in 1953. He was a loyal and faithful member of the Electrical Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 60 years and was recognized as Apprentice of the Year 1956. Billy was known as a jokester and will always be remembered for his perpetual smile and his heart for caregiving. He loved spending time with family, gardening, powered parachuting and tractor shows. He also enjoyed dancing and playing dominoes with his girlfriend of the last five years, Sue Wade of Edgewood, TX.
Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Eubank Funeral Home, Canton TX. Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday. Rev. Bill Parr will officiate. Interment will be in Haven of Memories, Canton, TX.
