Bob passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 in Athens, TX.
He was born October 6, 1934 in Ben Wheeler, TX to Clarence James & Gladys Marie Stafford.
Bob grew up in Ben Wheeler and moved to Dallas at a young age. He married Jane Turner September 13, 1959 and they moved to Canton in August of 1975. He was the owner and operator of Bob's Town and Country store for 32 years before retiring in 2007 when he sold the business. Bob enjoyed fishing, spending time with friends, and working in his yard. He was a member of Grace Fellowship in Canton and an avid Texas Rangers & Dallas Cowboy fan. Bob was a people person, he loved each and every person who walked in his store.
He is survived by his Son, Mike & Tracey Stafford of Canton; Daughter, Melissa & John Sanches of Emory; Granddaughter, Emily & Ryan Geyer; Grandson, Eric & Sarah Stafford; Grandson, Ethan Stafford; Granddaughter, Margaret Rogers; Granddaughter, Melanie Rogers; Great Grandchildren, Maddox Geyer, EmmaClaire Geyer, Oliver Geyer, Jacob Stafford, and Chance Stafford.
Bob is preceded in death by his Father, Clarence James Stafford; Mother, Gladys Marie Easley Stafford; Wife, Jane Turner Stafford; and Granddaughter, Bobbi Stafford.
Pallbearers are Jim Taylor, Ed Randolph, Richard Hanson, Robbie Dunn, Corley Ragle, and Rex Carter.
Family will receive friends Friday, August 5, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
