He was born on February 15,1944 in Long Beach, CA to Lloyd Southern and Bernetta Grace Bunce Southern.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Dottie Southern; daughter, Kimberly Flynt and husband Randy; daughter, Sherry Southern; grandchildren, Brittany Simmons, Amber Flynt, James Flynt, Brandon Flynt.
