A visitation for Carolyn will be held Monday, June 23, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Eubank Funeral in Canton, TX 75103.
Carolyn grew up in the east Texas area. She married Jerry Wayne Dowdy on February 27, 1959. Together they built a life and raised a family. Carolyn enjoyed being a homemaker and crocheting.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, George and Jane Turner; husband, Jerry Dowdy; daughter, Teresa Dowdy.
She is survived by her sons: Jimmy and Patricia Dowdy, George and Cheryl Dawdy; grandchildren: Jeff Dowdy, and wife Christina, Nickolaus Dowdy, Karissa Dowdy and Ashley Stone; great grandchildren: Shyann White, Jayse White, River Layne Dowdy and Stella Marie Dowdy, and brother Roger Rice.
Carolyn will be laid to rest at Chinquapin Cemetery in Van Zandt County Texas.
