

Charles Douglas Rockey, 93, of Canton, Texas passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on July 5, 1932, in Fairfield, Texas to Charlie Franklin Rockey and Lillian Bell Etheridge Rockey.
A visitation for Charles will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Eubank Funeral Home. A private burial will take place Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
Honorary Pallbearers: Bruce Call, Gage Bullard, Jim Pendley, Stan Rockey, Steve Rockey, Gwen Rockey-Bullard.
Charles grew up in Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School. On November 29, 1950, he married his true love, Ina Ruth Tuttle. Together they built a life of love and happiness. The couple made their home in Canton in the early 1980’s and relished small town life. Charles was a great businessman – he owned and grew several different businesses through the years.
Charles enjoyed a good game of golf, gardening, and playing cards. He especially enjoyed family dinners. Charles was a good cook and basked in watching family around the table eating his cooking.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Lillian Rockey; beloved wife, Ruth Rockey; two sisters and a brother.
He is survived by his children: Judy Pendley and husband, Jim, Steve Rockey and wife, Vicki, Stan Rockey, and partner, Deya Rockey ; four grandchildren; multitude of great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.
