Services for Curtis Earl Golden, 85, of Myrtle Springs, are scheduled for 10 am Monday, August 2, 2021 at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Jerry Truett officiating. Interment will be in Myrtle Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Golden passed away at his home on July 28, 2021. He was born December 7, 1935 in Myrtle Springs to Earl W. and Viola King Golden.
Curtis was a Christian by faith. He grew up and lived in Myrtle Springs most of his life. Mr. Golden served in the US Army. He retired from Modern Builders Lumber Yard. Curtis enjoyed gardening and fishing. He also enjoyed aggravating people and joking around. He loved playing and picking on children.
Mr. Golden is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: James Golden, Ben Golden and Ray Golden; and sisters: Earline Reynolds, Lois Mince, Nevia Collett, Shirley Wimberly, Opal Turnage and Lillian Miles.
Curtis is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lue Golden of Myrtle Springs; brother, Jack Golden of Athens; numerous nieces, nephews and their families; and cherished family friends.
Pallbearers will be Carl Griggers, Jason Griggers, David Cox, David Golden, James Valentine, Garry Golden and Craig Golden.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
