Dan was born on October 26, 1938 in Hiram, Texas to Van Washington Pool, Sr. and Cora Lee Daniels Pool and passed away on August 8, 2020 in Tyler, Texas.

Boompa very much enjoyed planting and spending time in his garden. If he wasn’t in his garden his favorite places to be was at the beach or at the NASCAR races. If he couldn’t be at the races you can bet he was watching it on TV hoping to see that #88 car cross the finish line first. Anybody that knew Boompa knows he was always eager to share one of his many good stories.
Above all else he loved and valued his family the most. He was devoted to his wife Sarita for 61 years and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandsons. Throughout the years Dan and Sarita took on the role of mom/Mimi and dad/Boompa to many bonus kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
