

Dan spent his career as an engineer with Rainbow Bakery, dedicating 28 years to the company. He and his wife Judy, also owned rental properties for over 30 years along with a car wash for more than 20 years. His work ethic and commitment were evident in all his endeavors. Dan loved spending time with his family and had a passion for travel, often taking the back country roads as his preferred method of travel. He enjoyed tinkering and fiddling around in his shop. Dan lived in Mesquite from 1975 until retiring to Canton in 2014. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Canton. Dan loved meeting people and often engaged them in conversations about their faith, asking if they knew God.
Mr. White is preceded in death by his brother, Rusty White; grandparents, Horace and Etta Belle Smith; parents, Tomacine and Dick White; and mother-in-law, Charlene Thompson.
Dan is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy White; two sons and their wives: Tony and Caroline Wilks and David and Melissa White; daughter and her husband, Julie and Brad Barrier; eight grandchildren: Preston Wilks-Long, Devin Smith, Eva Wilks, Tanner Fuller, Caitlin Fuller, Jasmyn Allen, Lillie White, and Candice White; two great-grandchildren: Marley Smith and Sebastion Wilks-Long.
A visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 pm Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Eubanks Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held 10:00 am, November 19, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Canton. Interment will be in High Cemetery in Canton Texas.
Pallbearers honoring Dan's life include Sherman Barber, Tanner Fuller, Andy McCuistion, Dennis Hutchison, Doug Currin, and Tony Trent.
Dan Hilton White will be remembered for his unwavering faith, love for his family and community, and dedication to his work. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
