She was born July 11, 1943 in Edom, TX to Tom Edward Castleberry and Hazel Smith.
Darlene grew up in Edom and graduated from Chapel Hill in 1962. She enjoyed reading and her cats.
She is survived by her Son, Carl & Sharolynn Nelson; Grandson, Justin Nelson; Grandson, Matthew & Heather Nelson; Great Granddaughters: Kristen Nelson and Samantha Nelson; Step Grandchildren: John Jordan and Heather Jordan; and Former Husband, Carl Nelson Jr.
Darlene is preceded in death by her Parents, Tom & Hazel Castleberry.
