Mr. Smith passed away March 24, 2024 in Tyler. He was born October 22, 1964 in Grand Saline to Hulen Buddy and Joyce Inez Woodrum Smith.
Darren lived all of his life in Fruitvale. He was a former member of the Fruitvale ISD School Board and a member of the Caney Creek Cowboy Church. Darren owned and operated Darren Smith Custom Cabinets. He loved gardening and fishing. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting. Darren had a good life.
Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents: Hulen Buddy and Joyce Smith; and a sister, Brenda Calder.
Darren is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ann Smith; son and daughter-in-law, David and Bobbie Smith; two grandchildren: Riata Jo Gorman and Bailey Ann Smith; brother, Buddy Glenn Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Caney Creek Cowboy Church Band.
