David Ralph Tunnell

Services for David Ralph Tunnell, 83, of Canton, TX, are scheduled for 2pm Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, TX, with Bro. Bill Parr and Bro. Lynn Mullins officiating. Interment will be in Haven of Memories.

David passed away May, 11, 2015 in Canton, TX. He was born April 18, 1932 in Colfax, TX to Andrew and Janie Tunnell.

David was a member of Little Hope Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was an Election Judge for Canton ISD for 22 years and for the Van Zandt County Democratic Party for over 25 years. David was a master carpenter and then a building contractor for 36 years. He was a devoted Husband, Dad, Grandpa, and Great-Grandpa. He always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye.

David is survived by his Wife of 61 years, Jackie JoNell Tunnell of Canton; Son, Eddie & Brenda Tunnell of Canton; Son, David Glenn & Karen Tunnell of Mineola; 5 Grandchildren: Traci Tunnell, Cristole & Gregg Beverly, David Paul & Whitney Tunnell, Zachary Tunnell and Abby Lynn Tunnell; 7 Great-Grandchildren: Mikhayla, Dalton, Hunter, Bryce , Grayson, Gabe and Caitlynn; and 2 Sisters: Julia & Charles Faglie of Canton, and Georgianna Keahey of Colfax.

He preceded in death by his Parents; Sister, Rebecca Middleton; and Brother, Tommy Tunnell.

Pallbearers will be nephews: Andy Faglie, Jerry Don Faglie, James Faglie, Mark Keahey, Bryce Keahey, Wesley Middleton, Larry Middleton, Billy Middleton, Jeff Tunnell, and Brett Tunnell.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, TX.
