

Funeral services for Debra Kay Ashton, 65, of Eustace, will be held at 2pm Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Jonathan Lilly officiating. Interment will be at Moorehead Cemetery.
Debra passed away October 7, 2022, suddenly in Gun Barrel City, TX, surrounded by family. She was born October 7, 1957, to Robert Earl Bradley and Connie Lou Walker Bradley in Athens, TX.
Debra grew up with a love for animals and never stopped bringing strays home to nurse back to health. During high school, she demonstrated that love by raising pigs to show during the livestock events and winning 1st place. Debra also proved her bravery by barrel racing and rode bulls to a 2nd place medal. When she was not taking care of animals, Debra was a very talented piano player and entertained many with a strong, beautiful voice. She loved to play and sing her favorite music of Rock N’ Roll and show off her collection of pink attire that was her cherished color. In later years, Debra enjoyed cooking, sewing and became a skilled quilt maker. Holidays were always fun for Debra, who tremendously enjoyed decorating the yard for every holiday and spending the perfect day with her loved ones.
Debra is preceded in death by her husband, Ken Ashton; father, Robert Bradley; sister, Brenda Eldridge; close family friend, Harold Barnett; and cherished canine, Seymour.
She is survived by her loving family; mother, Connie Bradley; son, Zackary Batchelor; sister, Lesia Townley; brother, Robert Bradley; nieces, Cambry Bradley, Chancey Kay Bradley, Brianna Bradley, Robie Bradley, Kristina Bradley; nephews, Cole Bradley, Luke Bradley, Josh Bradley, Clayton Bradley, Brandon Townley, Blake Townley; and many other great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives.
