We miss Don and the weekly phone calls.  Although he is at rest and in no more pain we sure wish he was here just as sure the family does.  Know we cherished Don and so enjoyed our travels with Don and Jan over the years.  Prayers for peace and comfort for all.   Tony and Deb.

I wish i had the guts to stand up at your funeral. You may of been 79 but didn’t look it or act it. Always out working on something. You never knew what would come out of your mouth which usually had us laughing until we couldn’t breath or our jaw on the floor lol You gave Gracee her first job of taking care of chickens and checking the mail, made a worm farm for fishing, fixing the girls bicycles, 4th parties, New Years, birthdays, camping and just normal yard work chats. Funny story that’s appropriate to tell us we called their chicken pickle for 5 years until we found  out it was speckle lol pickle waited for the  girls to get off the bus and came running.   We miss you dearly. Prayers to his  family 💕

Jan and family. We were so shocked to hear about Don's passing. He was a great boss and a true friend.  Our prayers are with you and the family.

I came to know Don many years ago as an honest and very capable air conditioning contractor.  I last spoke with Don a few months ago, and he appeared to still be very much engaged in the business.  I continue to utilize the services of his son Todd, who obviously learned the trade and his sense of fair dealings from his Dad.
Although I will not be able to attend tomorrow's services, I will be thinking of Don, his family, and many friends.  He will no doubt be deeply missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. Don was a great friend. He enjoyed life and his friends. Wish he was riding up to our home now. He will be greatly missed. 

We have lost a cherished friend, actually a family member.  We will reflect on the many wonderful memories. -Don dressed like Evil Knievel as he headed out on his cross-country rides, riding through the neighborhood on the 3-wheel bike he built.  He was never more than a phone call away when someone needed help. 
We hope that the love and devotion he had for his family will bring comfort to them at this time.

Don was a man that always willing to take a challenge.  When my husband 
Bobby Horton first met Don , he hit us up to a drag race in his Chevrolet and our 57 Ford.  
 After he and my sister married and he  had just gotten home from the service, he hit up  my long legged Daughter Dianna for a foot race.  He didn't realize she had inherited her long legs from her daddy and could cover much more ground in a shorter time than a normal man.

We  enjoyed many hours of visits and fishing with him and his family.
They loved to come to the farm for their boys and to this day . The boys toys that they played with are still on the farm from the many 
enjoyable times we had together.
  
He will be missed by many.  

Love to all his family and grandchildren.
