To the Chick Family, I was saddened to hear of Doug's passing. One of the good guys gone to soon. I used to keep my horse across 33rd Street from the Chick's home. Now he is reunited with Dave and his parents. May peace be with all.

Dear Chick family,
My friendship with Doug and David spanned the entire time they lived in Paris. I can recall riding in the same 'car' together at my 3rd or 4th birthday party at Skidmore Train Park in Reno, or our little league baseball, or playing in the band from Crockett Junior College through our sophomore in high school. I recall Doug stopping by on his motorcycle over 30 years ago to say hello and catch up on 'life'. Sadly, there's been too many years between but a friendship of over 62 years, despite the 'distance', is still a friendship. My thoughts and prayers for his sisters, wife, children and grandchildren and all who knew and loved they prankster I will always remember.

Doug was one of the best people I knew. He was a great husband to my mom, a great poppy to my kids, and great step dad to me. Everytime he called me I would answer "Hey Doug" and his response would be "MICHAEL THIS IS DOUG". that would always crack me up. LOL. Doug we're going to miss you buddy.

I love you baby girl, My heart breaks for the pain you are having to go through. Praying you will be comforted by the sweet memories of how much Doug loved (and spoiled) you. Not everyone is Blessed to have the years you did with their soulmate.

When you first introduced Doug to me I was about to have my knee surgery in 2003. He gave me advice that helped calm my fears. I never forgot his thoughtfulness and kindness.

Like King David said of his firstborn son, “I can’t bring him back, but I can go to him.”
Praise God that because Doug knew Jesus as his Savior, you will get to see him again.

Love you bunches and bunches. Praying Jesus holds you close in the days ahead.

I don’t think there were many times you came into the office that you didn’t make us laugh. Wether it be you telling a joke, telling about your latest gopher adventure or going over your schedule. And oh don’t get you started on politics. Lol! You were truly loved by your patients and your co-workers and you were always helping your patients with so many things no one else even knew about. You just did it because that’s who you were an amazing man with a kind heart. You will be greatly missed! Forever your A-Team Family ❤️

Put em up, put em up. Lol
